ISD, Institute for Sustainable Development
ISD are mobilizing the communities and stakeholders to collaborate in sharing the local cultures, local seeds, foods, planting indigenous trees and engage in conservation works to keep the balance of nature. The effort is to reignite good traditions and wisdoms in communities which support sustainable production and consumption without compromising the fate of the future generation. The focus area is South Wollo communities, where they have a culture of sharing resources through the traditional practice called “ABEGAR”. GAW is expected to revitalize the sharing values of the culture.
