Green Action Week
Community of Practice

Green Action Week is more than an annual campaign. It is a growing global community of practice rooted in sharing, collaboration and practical action. Together we strengthen sustainable consumption through peer learning, storytelling and cross-country exchange. Explore our Community of Practice Knowledge Exchanges and our online Youth Programme for 2026.

Knowledge Exchanges 2026
Peer Learning Across Countries

Our Community of Practice Knowledge Exchanges are participant-led spaces for practical exchange and collaboration. Themes are voted on by the Community of Practice (participants in Green Action Week campaigns since 2010) and reflect real challenges and innovations from across regions.

Youth Voices 2026: From Self to System

Green Action Week Youth creates a practical space for young people to pause, connect and learn across regions. It centres lived experience, practical examples and honest reflection. The 2026 journey follows a simple arc – individual choices, collective action and reflection. This programme is led by youth, for youth. It includes public webinars open to all and facilitated dialogues for young people aged 18 to 30.

1) Alternative Ways of Being

This theme explores how young people are navigating everyday life in ways that are values-led, sustainable and grounded in different contexts. It focuses on individual habits and trade-offs, realistic examples of alternative ways of living and wellbeing and dignity over perfection.
