Meet Keamogetswe Rakgoadi, a youth activator worki Meet Keamogetswe Rakgoadi, a youth activator working at the intersection of land and community.

She joins us as the facilitator for the Green Action Week Youth Webinar, Alternative Ways of Being: Youth and Elders in Conversation.

An Indigenous Knowledge Systems steward, Keamogetswe’s work centres on reconnecting people with land, community and ancestral knowledge. She brings over a decade of experience facilitating learning spaces that weave together ecological literacy, indigenous knowledge and youth-led action.

Grounded in ongoing dialogue with Indigenous wisdom keepers across regions, her work explores how ancestral knowledge can guide us through today’s environmental and social challenges.

As our facilitator, she will guide this intergenerational dialogue, holding space for meaningful exchange between youth and elders.

Makhadzi Mphatheleni will be joining us as a guest speaker for the Green Action Week Youth Webinar, Alternative Ways of Being: Youth and Elders in Conversation.

Makhadzi Mphathaleni is an Indigenous Knowledge Programmes Facilitator who works closely with communities to nurture deeper relationships between people, land and living systems. Her work is rooted in activating ancient wisdom as a pathway towards environmental stewardship, collective healing and cultural renewal.

She is deeply experienced in community mobilisation, particularly with women and youth, creating spaces for leadership, dialogue and shared learning. Her work spans environmental awareness of sacred sites, seed sovereignty and food systems, alongside climate action grounded in local knowledge.

Through facilitation, public speaking and grassroots organising, Makhadzi Mphathaleni is committed to strengthening community resilience and uplifting women’s leadership as central to regenerative futures.

Join us for this intergenerational dialogue on alternative ways of living, sustainable practices and how change is imagined across generations.

We are excited to welcome Alana Mooi as a speaker for the Green Action Week Youth Webinar, Alternative Ways of Being: Youth and Elders in Conversation.

Alana is a cultural ecologist, storyteller and systems strategist working at the intersection of land, culture and community wellbeing. She is the Managing Director at Farmer’s Footprint and Founder of NANA. Her work focuses on strengthening connections between people, place and the systems that sustain life.

Through her work across Latin America and globally, and as the founder of NANA, Alana brings together land stewards, creatives, policymakers and communities to support regenerative food systems and resilient livelihoods. She uses storytelling to translate ancestral knowledge and contemporary research into accessible narratives that inspire more sustainable ways of living and caring for land and community.

Join us for this intergenerational dialogue on alternative ways of living, sustainable practices and how change is imagined across generations.
